“Where I was born, football is very important, in Poland it is among the most important things, even in my city. All life was concentrated around football. I think the most important thing and my strength is the head. In football, the body is as important as the head. Never giving up is the most important thing in my life.
“I do not like being compared to Lewandowski, he’s a totally different player, a fantastic player. He is our captain, the superstar of our team.
When I arrived at Naples I immediately asked the taxi driver to take me to the sea to see the beautiful places. He showed me a little Naples and I liked it a lot. There are many beautiful places, especially near the sea and when it’s sunny: it’s really beautiful. I broke ligaments twice but everything is still possible. I am an optimist and I always try to find something positive.
My two bruises obscure the positive moments, which are less than the difficult ones. The injury was a tough moment, I hope the health problems are over and now only the good times come. Serie A is special, but every league is with specific characteristics. In Italy I was impressed by the technical aspects. The tactic is at a very high level. Surely, for the season and the World Cup, there are still many things to do. We want to win and play to the best of our ability. The World Championship is something important, a kind of tournament of life. A player can participate in 2-3, at most 4 World Championships. We can not get it out of my head. “
