EXCLUSIVE MN Interview- Gianni Improta: “Sarri has taught Napoli to play beautiful and be pragmatic”.

The editorial staff of MondoNapoli has interviewed Gianni Improta, a former Napoli footballer. Below we report the exclusive interview:

Bologna Napoli, what game do you expect?

“I expect a Napoli that continues to show us what we have been seeing to this day. There are those who like Allegri says that the beautiful game is not important, you can also agree, but I personally cheer for the great football shown by our technician. Especially I’m noticing the growth of our team under the aspect of pragmatism, Sarri has won a kind of struggle with himself, at the time the Napoli is in sharp growth, we are on the right track. ”

– Regarding the Sarri statements concerning the timetable, do you agree? Or do you find them exaggerated?

“I am of the opinion that when 2 teams play a title they must compete at the same time. Unfortunately, the European commitments have created this situation. Sarri sometimes exasperates his grievances but objectively says so many truths. Anyway in a moment that sees us so in the ball between a good game and pragmatism I say we’ll see the advances of Juve “.

– What do you think of the purchase of Amin Younes? An important player, even considering the fact that he is a German national…

“Meanwhile, it must be said that he is just a talented boy, no doubt. I just hope that he is not a new Ounas, another guy that I like very much, Sarri has always expressed with caution on the use of these guys  immediately , but in this case Napoli did well. He is a player able to replace both Insigne and Mertens ”

– Napoli, however, also insists on Politano, is  this the right choice for Sarri?

“Personally even during the green negotiation I have always preferred it. In that sense I was pleased to hear Orrico, who confirmed that he is a player  which combines an important explosiveness, with lots of speed and technical skill. It would definitely be a good choice, which would complete a very smart transfer market ”

How important are Milik and Ghoulam?

“I in these situations would I always go with the lead. I would not risk creating additional physical problems that sometimes occur with these flash recoveries. Certainly Ghoulam is surprising everyone, the important thing and I tell you as a former football player is the mental aspect he has. you’ll understand that a player put in front of an injury, feels almost useless. Therefore, it was important for him to get back into the group. Then calmly the boys will have to resume the game rhythm, so to be able to give their contribution in a particular context, it is not easy what Sarri asks. We just think of Mario Rui, the Portuguese is offering important performances seasoned by grit and a left foot of threats”.
